Job summary

AirTrunk, Sydney HQ, is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead contract drafting, review and negotiation on hyperscale data centre projects. You will focus on risk allocation, commercial outcomes and governance across APAC & MEA initiatives.

You will act as a trusted adviser to internal stakeholders, drive MSAs with General Contractors and OSE vendors, and help shape contracting frameworks and procurement practices to scale with AirTrunk's rapid growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing contracts or in a commercial management role within complex construction, engineering or development environments.
• Experience leading contract negotiations and managing commercial and contractual issues across the project lifecycle.
• Certificate or degree in Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying, Business/Commerce or related discipline.
• Strong commercial acumen, high attention to detail and the ability to balance risk allocation, legal robustness and practical business outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to provide clear advice to diverse internal teams.
• Highly collaborative, resourceful and comfortable operating in fast-paced project environments across cultures and geographies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the drafting, review, negotiation and execution of contracts, with a strong focus on risk allocation, legal robustness and commercial outcomes
• Drive MSA and key supplier negotiations, working closely with internal stakeholders to align on strategy, positions and approvals
• Manage contractual correspondence, variations, claims and dispute resolution processes where required
• Oversee contract governance processes, including approvals, compliance with internal frameworks and accurate documentation of negotiated positions
• Support purchase order and cost management workflows, ensuring alignment with contractual terms and commercial intent
• Provide clear, practical advice to Development, Finance and delivery teams on contractual matters, commercial risk and mitigation options
• Identify , assess and proactively manage contractual risks and issues across the full project lifecycle
• Contribute to the refinement of standard contract templates, negotiation playbooks and procurement practices to increase consistency, speed and commercial discipline
