Job summary

Space Floorcoverings in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Commercial Flooring Project Manager to lead multiple projects from award through handover. The role requires 3+ years in the field, strong scheduling, and close collaboration with builders and site teams.

You will manage programs, coordinate subcontractors, liaise with clients, and ensure on-time, on-spec delivery while maintaining records and reporting. Based in SE Queensland, a company vehicle is part of the benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in commercial flooring project management is essential
• Based in South East Queensland (Queensland)
• Knowledge/experience with MeasureSquare or similar estimating software (training provided)
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Microsoft Project
• Existing relationships within the commercial flooring and construction industry
• Excellent time management, organisation and attention to detail
• Strong written, verbal and numerical communication skills
• Ability to take direction, use initiative, and work independently or in a team
• Positive attitude with growth potential
• Ability to work flexible hours when required
• Strong planning and look-ahead scheduling skills

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of multiple commercial flooring projects from handover to completion
• Build and maintain look-ahead programs, coordinating installers and subcontractors
• Forge relationships with builders, site managers, flooring reps and subcontractors
• Liaise with clients on-site and manage day-to-day project queries and issues
• Coordinate material orders and deliveries against the program
• Administer variations and approvals on site
• Monitor progress against program and budget, flag risks early
• Manage defects, punch lists and handover documentation
• Collaborate with Estimating to ensure smooth tender-to-delivery handover
• Maintain accurate job records, site diaries and progress reporting

The Role

As Project Manager, you'll be the link between our office, our site teams, and our builder clients — making sure every job is programmed, resourced, and delivered on time and to spec.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of multiple commercial flooring projects, from handover through to completion

• Build and maintain look-ahead programs, coordinating installers and subcontractors to meet builder timeframes

• Forge strong working relationships with builders, site managers, flooring reps and subcontractors

• Liaise with clients on-site and manage day-to-day project queries and issues

• Coordinate material orders and deliveries against the program

• Administer variations — identifying scope changes on site and processing them through to approval

• Monitor project progress against program and budget, flagging risks early

• Manage defects, punch lists and handover documentation

• Work alongside our Estimating team to ensure a smooth handover from tender to delivery

• Maintain accurate job records, site diaries and progress reporting

Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years' experience in commercial flooring project management is essential

• Based in South East Queensland

• Knowledge/experience with MeasureSquare or similar estimating software an advantage (training provided)

• Proficient in Word, Excel and Microsoft Project

• Existing relationships within the commercial flooring and construction industry, including builder and subcontractor/labour contacts

• Excellent time management, organisation and attention to detail

• Strong written, verbal and numerical communication skills

• Ability to take direction, use initiative, and work well both independently and as part of a team

• A positive attitude and enthusiasm to grow within the role

• Ability to work flexible hours when required

• Strong planning and look-ahead scheduling skills
