ThompsonCook is seeking a Finance Manager for a privately backed hospitality group in Newcastle. You will own day-to-day finance, including month-end reporting, cash flow, payroll and compliance, while delivering commercial insights on margins and venue profitability.

The role suits a CA/CPA with 4–6+ years of experience, eager to advance beyond traditional accounting and take ownership of the finance function.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification is required.
• 4–6+ years of accounting experience in public practice or industry.
• Strong accounting fundamentals and attention to detail are essential.
• Commercial mindset with insight into how businesses operate; hospitality or inventory exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial and management reports for ELT.
• Collaborate with Sales, Production, Marketing and GMs to improve financial visibility.
• Assist with annual budgets and forecasts across the business.
• Manage month-end processes and support statutory reporting.
