Job summary

Vinarchy is seeking a commercially minded finance leader in Sydney to partner with sales and marketing, shaping performance across On Premise and Direct to Consumer channels. Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director East, you will forecast, budget, analyze pricing and promotions, and provide actionable insights to drive growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification with tertiary degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
• At least 5 years in commercial finance or business partnering in FMCG/retail or liquor.
• Proven ability to lead planning, forecasting and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales and Marketing to drive profitability across On Premise and DTC.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, S&OP and long-range planning with clear risk visibility.
• Provide pricing, promotional investment, tenders, and business case recommendations.
• Own monthly performance reporting and stakeholder communications.
• Coach and develop the Senior Commercial Analyst and drive process improvements.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, East, this Sydney-based role plays a key part in supporting the performance and growth of our On Premise and Direct to Consumer businesses. You'll be responsible for providing commercial insight, financial leadership and performance management across a diverse portfolio.

This is a highly visible business partnering opportunity where you'll work closely with Sales and Marketing leaders to influence decision-making, support strategic initiatives and help shape commercial outcomes. From forecasting and budgeting through to promotional analysis, pricing investment and business case development, you'll provide the insights that enable the business to perform at its best.

You'll also lead and develop a direct report, contributing to a high-performing finance team while helping drive continuous improvement across reporting, planning and commercial processes.

Your Key Accountabilities

• Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to drive commercial performance, profitability and informed business decision-making across On Premise and DTC channels.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, S&OP and long-range planning activities, ensuring clear visibility of risks, opportunities and performance outcomes.
• Provide commercial analysis and recommendations across pricing, promotional investment, tenders, customer agreements and new business opportunities.
• Own monthly performance reporting, financial insights and stakeholder communications, helping leaders understand key drivers of business performance.
• Coach, support and develop the Senior Commercial Analyst, fostering capability and engagement within the team.

What You'll Bring:

You're a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships and influencing business outcomes. With a collaborative approach and strong analytical capability, you're comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and translating financial data into practical insights that support growth and profitability.

CA or CPA qualified, with tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline, you’ll bring 5 years’ experience in commercial finance or business partnering roles within FMCG, retail, liquor or a similarly dynamic environment. You bring a track record of supporting strategic decision-making, leading planning and forecasting processes, and partnering effectively with non-finance stakeholders. Experience developing commercial insights, evaluating investments and identifying opportunities to improve performance will be highly regarded.
