Job summary

Stratco is offering an Assistant Accountant role that blends accounting with commercial insight, inventory analysis and business partnering across a national, complex business. The position provides exposure to management accounting and leadership pathways within Stratco’s finance leadership team.

The role invites candidates from varied backgrounds, including graduates with 2–3 years’ experience, assistants expanding their remit, stock specialists seeking financial depth, or auditors

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in Accounting.
• CA or CPA qualifications are desirable.
• Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle or MYOB will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month end accounting procedures and report activities
• Support the preparation of monthly profit and loss reports
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Assist with journal preparation and general ledger maintenance
• Assist with financial analysis and reporting for manufacturing and distribution operations
• Support inventory reporting and stock valuation processes
• Participate in stock takes and cycle count activities
• Work closely with operational teams to improve stock accuracy and reporting processes
