hireQ Consulting is seeking a commercially minded analyst in Melbourne to own transport and pricing analytics that uncover value for customers and the business. You will build models, challenge assumptions, and translate insights into actions that improve margins and customer outcomes.
This insight-led role sits at the centre of commercial decision-making, working with sales, client success and leadership to shape proposals and renewals in a fast-paced freight environment.
Freight & Logistics | Own the value creation process
Our client is a highly regarded, respected and growing freight management and consultancy organisation. Privately owned, its board and leadership team pair deep market expertise with a genuine commitment to performance and to its people.
With the commercial team expanding, this role continues the evolution of an analytics group into a genuine value-creation function — one that shapes how the business and its customers win, not just how it crunches the numbers.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager you'll take transport and pricing data and identify underutilised value across new and existing customers. You will build models, test assumptions, and shape analysis that outlines value creation, continuous improvement and margin growth opportunities. You'll work closely with the customer acquisition team on new business pursuits and with client success on retention and contractual renewals, contributing analytical rigour and insight that the business can act on.
This is a genuine insight led, analytical role at the centre of commercial decision-making with opportunities to build your presence in customer and stakeholder conversations when it matters.
You're a commercially minded analyst who wants your work to matter beyond the spreadsheet — likely in a commercial analyst, pricing analyst or business analyst role within freight, logistics or 3PL/4PL business’ — and you're ready for a role where your modelling directly shapes commercial outcomes, not just reporting on them.
