Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking a high-ambition Commercial Analyst to drive analysis on major bids, tenders and growth initiatives. You will build advanced financial models, scenarios and business cases while assessing commercial risk and shaping strategic solutions.

You will partner with engineering, operations, finance and executives to present clear recommendations and influence major commercial decisions, with direct exposure to leadership and projects of national significance.

This is a unique commercial role sitting outside traditional FP&A, partnering with senior leaders to shape strategic bids, evaluate new business opportunities and influence major commercial decisions.

About You

You'll bring a blend of strong analytical capability and commercial curiosity, with the confidence to challenge assumptions, influence stakeholders and work across multiple projects simultaneously. Whether your background is in Big 4, financial modelling, commercial finance, transactions or infrastructure projects, you'll have the ability to understand complex business problems, build robust financial models and communicate recommendations clearly to senior decision-makers.
You are naturally inquisitive, enjoy asking the right questions and can balance commercial opportunity with risk. Most importantly, you'll thrive in an environment where no two days are the same and where ownership, initiative and stakeholder engagement are critical to success.
