Job summary

ezyCollect, founded in Sydney, is seeking an ambitious Commercial Accountant to lead finance operations beyond transactional tasks, focusing on process improvement, compliance, and cross-entity reporting.

You will partner with the Head of Finance on budgeting, forecasting and ad-hoc projects, with a pathway to a Finance Manager role within 12 months.

Hybrid work in Sydney, exposure to Xero, NetSuite, and SaaS finance in a growing technology business.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–5 years' experience across financial accounting, commercial accounting or finance operations.
• CA or CPA qualified, recently qualified, or close to completion.
• Strong accounting fundamentals with exposure to audit, tax and compliance.
• Capable of owning operational and project-based work beyond transactional tasks.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with Xero, NetSuite, Power BI or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day effectiveness of the finance function and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead and support ad hoc finance and operational projects driven by growth or system changes.
• Review workflows and implement scalable, well-controlled processes.
• Support audit, tax, compliance, and external regulatory requirements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis across the business.
• Provide management reporting and financial commentary for leadership.
