Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is representing a well-established project home builder in Sydney seeking a Colour Consultant to guide home buyers through colour and design selections, ensuring a seamless and inspiring experience from start to finish.

You will conduct exterior and interior selection appointments, advise on finishes and palettes, and ensure designs meet standards and budgets. This is a client-facing role with a strong emphasis on service and visual communication.

Qualifications

• Experience as Colour Consultant, Interior Designer, or similar role in residential projects.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good eye for colour, finishes, and spatial design.
• Confident consulting with clients in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

We’re partnering with a well-established project home builder who is looking for a Colour Consultant to join their growing team. This is a client-facing role where you’ll guide home buyers through their colour and design selections, ensuring a seamless, inspiring, and professional experience from start to finish.

About The Role

• Conducting exterior and interior selection appointments with clients
• Advising on finishes, fixtures, materials, and colour palettes
• Ensuring selections meet design standards, budgets, and build requirements
• Managing electrical plans and advising on this
• Preparing accurate documentation for construction and internal teams
• Liaising with sales, drafting, and construction teams to ensure smooth project delivery
• Staying up to date with design trends and product ranges

About You

• Experience as a Colour Consultant, Interior Designer, or similar role (project home building or residential experience highly regarded)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• A good eye for colour, finishes, and spatial design
• Confidence working with clients in a consultative environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple appointments
• Proficiency with selection systems or design software (desirable)
