Job summary

MyChoice Design Studio, part of NEX Building Group, is seeking an Interior Design Consultant in NSW to help clients select interior and exterior finishes for new homes. You will work closely with clients through walkthroughs, selections and electrical appointments, translating preferences into detailed design concepts and contract documents.

The role requires solid experience in customer-focused interior design, a keen eye for style, and the ability to read floor plans and contracts.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in customer focused interior design consulting.
• Commitment to excellence in customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to read floor plans and contracts.
• Certificate in Interior Design and Decoration or other relevant tertiary qualification.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients during initial walkthrough, selection and electrical appointment.
• Provide product support and guidance that suits each client’s style.
• Provide a customised approach for selecting interior and external details, materials, colour selections, flooring selections, lighting/electrical, space planning, and detailing.
• Interpreting client needs and completing detailed design concepts and contract documents.
• Provide on the spot pricing and estimating for selected product.
• Working collaboratively and coordinating work with other teams and functions.
• Effectively utilising available technology to accurately record all revisions and reselections.
