Job summary

Scotch Oakburn College is seeking a friendly College Shop Assistant to join the team on a permanent part-time basis during academic weeks. You will work with the College Shop Manager, providing welcoming service to students, families and staff while assisting with POS transactions, stock control, merchandising and daily shop presentation.

The role requires strong people skills, retail experience, attention to detail, and a team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Friendly, people-focused approach with strong communication skills.
• Experience with stock control, merchandising and stocktakes.

• Confidence using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to safely meet the physical requirements of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide welcoming service to students, families and staff.

Working closely with the College Shop Manager, you will provide welcoming service to students, families and staff while assisting with point-of-sale transactions, stock control, merchandising and the day-to-day presentation of the shop.

The successful applicant will bring strong people skills, retail experience, attention to detail and a positive, team-oriented approach. The role involves regular lifting and carrying of stock, using stairs, and periods of standing and walking.
