Job summary

The Sands Torquay is seeking enthusiastic Food and Beverage Attendants and Bartenders to join our coastal resort team. You will deliver exceptional service, take orders, and work with kitchen and bar staff to ensure memorable dining experiences.

Showcase friendly communication, multitasking ability, and a passion for hospitality as you support guests from arrival to departure, including handling dietary requests and promoting specials. Weekend and holiday shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar Food and Beverage Attendant role or hospitality-related position is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with a friendly demeanour.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Strong multitasking and organisational skills; works well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all guests and ensure they feel welcomed.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
• Deliver meals and drinks promptly to tables with correct presentation.
• Answer questions about menu items and dietary needs, offering recommendations.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns promptly for a positive resolution.
• Clear and reset tables and assist with setup/breakdown of dining areas.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar to ensure smooth service.
• Upsell items and promote specials to enhance guest experience and revenue.
• Follow safety and hygiene standards and maintain knowledge of offerings.
