ALS Coal - Mackay, QLD is seeking a Coal Quality Tester to join our analytical laboratory on the Mackay Coal site. Roles are available as casual and full-time, with day shift hours and full training provided.

The successful candidate will conduct coal testing, operate lab equipment, validate results, and uphold safety and quality standards. A strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and reliability are essential, with a valid driver's licence preferred.

• Previous coal testing or laboratory experience is highly regarded.

About the Position:

We are seeking a suitably qualified Coal Quality Tester, as well as motivated individuals looking to transition into a career in analytical laboratory work. Successful candidates will bring the skills, attitude, drive, and passion needed to support our ongoing success in a global market. An excellent opportunity is available for Casual and Full-time Coal Quality Testers to join the analytical laboratory at our Mackay Coal site, working day shift only with full training provided

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting a variety of coal testing methods.
• Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
• Validating results and ensuring they meet accuracy and repeatability standards.
• Adhering strictly to Quality Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Prioritising safety and efficient turnaround of test results.
• Maintaining a clean, well-organised lab and work area.
