Job summary

ALS Coal – Bowen Basin is seeking permanent Full-time Coal Quality Testers to join our established Laboratory Testing team. The role operates on a 7-days on / 7-days off roster and is Drive-in Drive-out from Mackay, offering competitive remuneration and generous allowances.

Key responsibilities include collecting site samples, performing coal testing methods, operating lab equipment, validating results and ensuring accuracy. Safety and quality are paramount in our safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in coal testing or laboratory work is preferred.
• Valid driver's licence is required.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on a 7/7 roster.
• Pass medical examination to work in a mining environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect production and train samples across the site.
• Conduct a variety of coal testing methods.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Validate results and ensure accuracy and repeatability.
• Adhere to Quality Work Instructions and SOPs.
• Prioritise safety and efficient turnaround of test results.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised lab and work area.

Join ALS Coal – Bowen Basin as a Permanent Full-time Quality Coal Tester!

We are currently seeking Coal Quality Testers to join our well-established Laboratory Testing team in the Bowen Basin on a permanent basis. This role operates on a 7-days on / 7-days off roster and is Drive-in Drive-out (DIDO) from Mackay.

• Adhering strictly to Quality Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
