As a CNC Waterjet Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating Omax waterjet cutting equipment while ensuring quality standards and production targets are achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate Omax CNC waterjet cutting machines
• Prepare, load, and run CNC cutting programs
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and production documentation
• Verify materials and job requirements before processing
• Monitor machine performance and cutting quality throughout production
• Make adjustments to maintain accuracy and cut quality
• Conduct first-off and in-process quality inspections
• Identify and report machine or production issues
• Complete production records and documentation accurately
• Carry out routine cleaning and preventative maintenance

About you

• Previous experience operating and setting up CNC waterjet cutting machines
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and efficientlyCommitment to workplace safety and manufacturing procedures
• Forklift Licence (desirable)
• Experience with Omax waterjet systems (desirable)
• Experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment (desirable)
• Permanent full-time position
• 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday)
• 36-hour roster with long weekends every week
