Job summary

People 2U is seeking a hands-on CNC Machinist in Camperdown, NSW, to shadow then work independently on CNC operations. The role uses a SYIL X9 CNC mill with Siemens 828D controls to produce prototype and small-batch parts across various materials. Immediate start, casual roster, 9–5, Mon–Fri.

The successful candidate will join a startup-like environment, taking ownership beyond a narrowly defined role, with a competitive casual loading and a strong focus on precision engineering.

Qualifications

• Hands-on machinist with CNC experience.
• Ability to work autonomously in a startup environment.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.

Responsibilities

• Load materials and set up cutting tools.
• Select and change cutting tools as needed and program machines.
• Manufacture complex components to tight tolerances using the SYIL X9 CNC mill.
