Job summary

People 2U is seeking a hands-on CNC Machinist in Camperdown, NSW, to shadow then work independently on CNC operations. The role uses a SYIL X9 CNC mill with Siemens 828D controls to produce prototype and small-batch parts across various materials. Immediate start, casual roster, 9–5, Mon–Fri.

The successful candidate will join a startup-like environment, taking ownership beyond a narrowly defined role, with a competitive casual loading and a strong focus on precision engineering.

We’re currently looking for a CNC Machinist based in Camperdown, NSW 2050.

The successful candidate will initially shadow an experienced machinist before transitioning to working independently on CNC operations.

Responsibilities and Task

Loading materials, selecting and changing cutting tools, programming machines.

Determining appropriate tooling, and manufacturing complex components with precision.

The role involves working with a SYIL X9 CNC mill using Siemens 828D controls, producing primarily prototype and small-batch components to tight tolerances across various materials.
