Job summary

Surf Life Saving NSW seeks a Club Capability Coordinator (Training & Education) to work with clubs and volunteers, turning training needs into practical support. Based at Belrose, you will identify training needs, strengthen trainer capacity, and coordinate delivery while guiding a new administration support pilot for priority clubs.

You will recruit and support casual trainers, monitor progress, and report outcomes to the Club Services Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating training, education or capability-building initiatives.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple activities, stakeholders and deadlines.
• Ability to identify needs, develop practical responses and implement.
• Experience working with volunteers or stakeholder groups with differing needs.
• Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Experience coordinating or supporting trainers or a casual workforce.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to gather and analyse information and monitor progress.
• Initiative and practical problem-solving.
• Good digital literacy and confidence with Microsoft Office and online systems.

Responsibilities

• Consult with priority clubs and volunteer training managers to identify training needs.
• Identify gaps in trainer and assessor capability and develop practical plans.
• Coordinate courses and training activities for identified club needs.
• Recruit, coordinate and support a pool of casual trainers and assessors.
• Maintain oversight of training activity, trainer and assessor availability, delivery progress and issues.
• Lead the pilot training administration support service for priority clubs.
• Attend relevant club, branch and SLSNSW meetings as required.
