Job summary

PCYC NSW in Goulburn is seeking a Club Manager to lead the centre’s operations and deliver an exceptional member experience.

You will oversee staff, programs, budgeting and safety, while developing community partnerships and driving revenue growth for the venue.

This 9-month parental leave cover is a hands-on leadership role that values inclusion, child safety and service excellence. You will implement marketing initiatives, manage assets, prepare forecasts and reports to the Club Committee.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years sport and leisure venue management experience.
• Proven business management and operation planning experience.
• Strong leadership, networking and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to child safety and community wellbeing.
• Ability to obtain Working with Children Check and Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day club operations including staff leadership and training.
• Develop and execute plans to generate income growth and diversify revenue.
• Build partnerships with NSW Police, club committee, venue users and the local community.
• Manage rostering, budgeting, reporting and grant applications.
• Ensure a safe child-friendly environment and conduct WHS audits.

PCYC is currently recruiting a Goulburn Club Manager for a 9-month Parental Leave Coverage

About the Club

The club is a vibrant, multifaceted facility featuring a state-of-the-art gymnastics centre, a fully equipped fitness gym, an indoor court, and versatile multipurpose spaces. Open to people of all ages and backgrounds, the club is dedicated to enhancing community wellbeing through inclusive recreation and leisure activities.

About the Role

We are looking for a suitably qualified, and experienced leisure venue manager to lead the team to deliver an exceptional member experience at this important community facility. The Club Manager is responsible for the overall management and operations of the venue, and is accountable for the administration, operational, financial and program deliverables.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Club, including staff leadership, training, program coordination, quality assurance, facilities/ asset management and execution of marketing initiatives
• Execute business and operational plans to generate income growth, build customer engagement to optimise use of the facility and increase revenue streams
• Increase awareness of the PCYC mission within the local community, with the aim of growing memberships and generating fundraising/ sponsorship opportunities
• Develop effective relationships with a range of stakeholders including NSW Police staff, Club Committee, venue users, local businesses and the wider community
• Administrative duties including rostering, forecasting, budget management, weekly and monthly reporting on club performance, funding/ grant applications, database/ records management
• Provide a child safe environment.
• Conduct scheduled WHS and operational audits.

About You

Are you a passionate person and looking to work flexible hours, as well as:

• you have a minimum of 2 years sport and leisure venue management experience
• you have proven experience in business management, operation planning and/or implementing innovative business ideas
• You have an eye for detail, a natural sales ability and look for any and every opportunity to grow the business
• you have strong networking and relationship building skills establishing valuable partnerships within the local community
• you have strong leadership skills
• you have strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills
• you have a genuine care for your community and alignment to the PCYC Mission and Values
• you have the ability to obtain a compliant Working with Children Check and National Police Check as well as maintain First aid and CPR certification.
