PCYC NSW is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Officer to join the Eastern Suburbs team. In a casual, flexible role you’ll coach and lead youth-friendly group classes, deliver engaging activities, and provide member services.

You’ll work with basketball-focused programs, assist with administration, and help create a safe, welcoming environment. Availability for afternoon/evening shifts and weekends is preferred; First Aid and CPR are desirable.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic people to join our PCYC Team. An Activities Officer has a varied and flexible role, assisting with sport and administration within the Club. Whether you are new to the industry wanting to build your skills or you are experienced in sport, recreation and youth engagement roles, if you are passionate about making a life changing difference in your community, then this is the opportunity for you!

Casual position available at PCYC Eastern Suburbs

$34.96 per hour (inclusive of casual loading)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team to provide positive experiences to young people.In this varied and flexible role, classified as a General Activities Officer under our Enterprise Agreement, you will be coaching and guiding young people, and:

• Work as part of a team to deliver fun, interactive, engaging and safe group classes
• Provide customer service and membership administration duties, as required

• Do you have strong knowledge in basketball?
• Do you have a passion for sports and team building skills for coaching purposes?
• Are you a reliable and trustworthy person for the care of young people?
• Are you an autonomous worker as well as a team player?
• Do you have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills?
• Do you have experience in working with children, building relationships and customer service?
• Are you available to work Saturdays and have current First Aid and CPR certificate?
• Are you confident in running school holiday programs, basketball programs and children's birthday parties?
