Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Sydney is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support Windows Server infrastructure and Active Directory services. You will work to ensure 24/7 availability and collaborate with regional teams to maintain secure, reliable systems.
The role emphasizes automation with PowerShell and scripting, documentation, and knowledge-base contributions. A strong background in DevOps practices and network troubleshooting is required.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experience.
- 2+ years of building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools including CI/CD, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, Chef, etc.
- Experience in network capture and systems troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Windows Server infrastructure systems and Active Directory services
- Perform system maintenance, updates, and patch management for Windows environments
- Develop and implement automation solutions for routine support processes using PowerShell and other scripting tools
- Maintain accurate documentation of all support activities, and contribute to knowledge base and runbook development
- Participate in on‑call rotation to ensure 24/7 system availability
