Job summary

AWS Region Services is seeking experienced Support Engineers to troubleshoot complex Linux and cloud infrastructure issues, support operational systems and contribute to secure, scalable environments for sensitive workloads. The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering teams and adherence to incident response practices.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in support engineering or Linux/Unix administration, strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of networking and deployment

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in support engineering or Linux/Unix systems administration.
• Strong understanding of scalable computing systems and distributed environments.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
• Good understanding of networking, software deployment and operational processes.
• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with cloud computing environments highly regarded.
• Experience with networking technologies including switches, routers and load balancers desirable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve Linux and cloud infrastructure issues.
• Support operational systems, dashboards and change management activities.
• Collaborate with engineering and AWS service teams to resolve issues.
• Support process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Develop technical documentation, tutorials and run-books.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring of new team members.
• Support operational reporting, diagnostics and system monitoring.
• Participate in on-call rotations and out-of-hours incident response when required.
