Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Australia is seeking an Associate Support Engineer to help maintain secure cloud infrastructure within the AWS Region Services team. You will troubleshoot Linux systems, support operational dashboards, and participate in on-call incident response to keep sensitive workloads safe and available.

You will collaborate with engineering and service teams, document processes, and contribute to runbooks.

Qualifications

1 year of experience in technical support or Linux systems administration.
Scripting experience in modern programming languages.
Understanding of networking protocols including HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of cloud computing concepts desirable.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting Linux and cloud infrastructure issues
Supporting operational systems, dashboards and change management activities
Collaborating with engineering and AWS service teams to resolve issues
Supporting process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
Developing technical documentation and operational run-books
Assisting with operational reporting and system monitoring
Supporting technical issue resolution across AWS services
Participating in on-call rotations and out-of-hours incident response when required
