Job summary

Medibank Private Limited is seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Architect on a 6-month day-rate contract to shape our cloud journey. Based in Melbourne, you will drive large-scale migrations, AWS landing zone modernization and broader transformation programs, with occasional weekly attendance at the Melbourne office.

This contract offers a day rate of AU$1,200 including super and involves working across high-impact initiatives in a regulated industry.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering AWS cloud architectures.
• Led or supported enterprise cloud migration programs and modernization.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services across networking, security, identity, compute, storage, containers, observability, and resilience.
• Experience developing migration strategies and transitional architectures.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement translating technical concepts into business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on large-scale cloud migration and modernization programs.

We're looking for an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to join us on a contract basis and help shape the next chapter of our cloud journey. Based in Melbourne, you'll work across a range of high-impact initiatives including large-scale cloud migration, AWS landing zone modernisation and broader cloud transformation projects.

This is an initial 6-month day rate contract at $1,200 per day including super. You may be required to attend our Melbourne office once a week.

What you'll bring

You'll be a seasoned Solution Architect with deep AWS expertise and a track record of delivering cloud transformation programs within complex enterprise environments.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Significant experience designing and delivering AWS cloud architectures
• Led or supported enterprise cloud migration programs and application modernisation initiatives
• Strong knowledge of AWS services across networking, security, identity, compute, storage, containers, observability and resilience
• Experience developing migration strategies, wave plans and transitional architectures
• A strong understanding of security, compliance and governance within cloud environments
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes
• Experience facilitating workshops and influencing senior business and technology stakeholders
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code, automation and modern cloud delivery practices.

Experience within highly regulated industries such as financial services, insurance or healthcare will be highly regarded. AWS certifications will also be viewed favourably.
