Job summary

NRI Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Cloud Lead to own the operational performance of our cloud services (AWS, Azure & M365) and drive governance, security, and continuous improvement. The role can be based in any Australian Capital City and requires senior cloud leadership.

You will mentor cloud engineers, enforce architecture standards, manage DR/BCP readiness, and optimize platform spend while delivering reliable, scalable solutions for Australia's leading organisations.

Qualifications

Deep hands-on AWS experience across core services (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, EKS/ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch).
Proven experience with cloud transformation and modernization.
Strong cloud security knowledge and least privilege practices.
Experience transitioning environments into BAU managed services.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor cloud engineers; set standards and practices.
Oversee governance, security, risk, audit and operational standards.
Manage disaster recovery, business continuity planning, testing and gaps remediation.
Own incident response processes for cloud platforms and post-incident reviews.
Oversee platform operations, capacity planning, on-call/production support.
Drive cost management, tagging, budgets and forecast accuracy.
Lead platform improvements and proactive problem management.
Provide reporting on risks, platform health and delivery progress.
