Job summary

The Network Technology Recruitment is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a Federal Government environment in Canberra. You will support the delivery, optimisation and ongoing management of enterprise technology infrastructure in a hands-on role.

The role covers cloud, virtualization, infrastructure automation, IaC, cybersecurity, monitoring and DevOps, with a 12 month contract plus extension options. Canberra-based with NV1 clearance required.

Qualifications

• Strong experience managing and optimising enterprise infrastructure across physical, virtual, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Demonstrated experience with scripting, Infrastructure as Code, orchestration and automation technologies.
• Proven ability to resolve complex infrastructure and security issues, drive continuous improvement and provide technical advice to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, maintain and optimise physical, virtual, cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
• Manage cloud and hybrid/multi-cloud environments and support infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.
• Develop automation using scripting, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and orchestration tools.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, availability and security.
• Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and security-related issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and development/DevOps teams.
• Support containerisation and modern application deployment practices.
• Drive automation, continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Provide technical advice and recommendations to stakeholders.

Job description

The Network are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a Federal Government environment and support the delivery, optimisation and ongoing management of enterprise technology infrastructure.

This is a hands-on technical role covering cloud, virtualisation, infrastructure automation, IaC, cybersecurity, monitoring and DevOps.

12 month contract + extension options

Must be Canberra based and hold minimum NV1 security clearance.

Desirable Experience

Experience with Azure/AWS, Terraform/Bicep, PowerShell/Python, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, monitoring tools and enterprise infrastructure platforms will be highly regarded.

Federal Government experience is highly desirable.
