Job summary

Saltus Group in Canberra is seeking experienced Cloud Engineers and Cloud Architects to support a major Government ICT program. You will design, build and enhance secure, scalable cloud platforms using Microsoft Azure and M365, collaborating with cross-functional teams across architecture, engineering, integration and DevOps.

Candidates should have 5+ years of hands-on cloud experience, strong Azure expertise, and familiarity with Dynamics 365 CRM and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience implementing and managing cloud systems and technologies.
• Experience with Azure and M365 security and governance is essential.
• Ability to design and document enterprise cloud architectures for large programs.

Responsibilities

Join a major Government ICT program delivering secure Azure and M365 cloud solutions across architecture, engineering, integration and DevOps.

The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Cloud Engineers and Cloud Architects to support the delivery of enterprise ICT initiatives within a large Australian Government environment.

You will work across Microsoft Azure and M365, helping design, build and enhance secure, scalable and reliable cloud platforms and solutions. These roles will suit professionals with strong Azure expertise who can operate effectively across architecture, engineering, integration, automation and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise-level cloud architectures across Microsoft Azure and M365
• Develop detailed technical and architectural guidance for engineering teams
• Provide impact analysis against business and stakeholder requirements
• Ensure solutions align with relevant Whole-of-Government standards
• Provide technical input into the design and build of cloud-based platforms and applications
• Work closely with developers, architects, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, testers and business stakeholders
• Support cloud automation, testing, continuous integration and deployment
• Promote enterprise architecture principles including reuse, configuration over customisation and open access to data
• Support delivery aligned with the Digital Service Standard
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and strategic guidance

Candidates must have 5+ years' experience implementing and managing cloud systems and technologies, including strong experience with:

• Infrastructure as Code
• Application Insights
• Virtual Networks and Private Endpoints
• Role Based Access Control
• Azure identity and security capabilities
• Integration with third-party platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM

You will also need demonstrated experience working within Agile multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
