Job summary

TaltentTrek in Melbourne, Australia invites a DevOps Engineer to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure supporting reliable automated software releases.

You will configure cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), automate tasks with Bash/Python/PowerShell, provisions with Terraform or CloudFormation, and manage Docker containers with Kubernetes. Strong Linux, Git and scripting skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in IT/CS/SE or related field.
• 1–3 years of DevOps, cloud ops, or systems administration experience.
• Hands-on with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD or Azure DevOps).
• Linux administration and command-line proficiency.
• Basic scripting in Bash, Python or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with Git and version control practices.
• Understanding of Docker and containerisation concepts.
• Basic networking knowledge (DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, firewalls).
• Desirable: Kubernetes exposure and IaC tooling guidance.
• Desirable: monitoring/logging tools familiarity.
• Desirable: cloud security and access management basics.
• Desirable: AWS/Azure/Google Cloud or DevOps certifications.
• Desirable: experience in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support software releases.
• Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Automate routine tasks and deployments using Bash, Python or PowerShell.
• Support infrastructure provisioning with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Manage source code repositories and review processes.
• Assist with container deployment and management using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor availability, performance and logs; troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams to improve release reliability.
• Apply security patches and manage access permissions.
• Support backups, recovery procedures and environment maintenance.
• Maintain documentation for infra, deployments and procedures.
