Job summary

Talent Corp is assisting a Federal Government agency to hire an experienced DevOps Engineer. The role focuses on AWS cloud infrastructure, IaC, CI/CD, containerisation and platform reliability to support AI, data science and software engineering solutions.

The role is a 12 month contract with a potential extension, located in Richmond or Geelong with hybrid working arrangements. Australian citizenship is mandatory and NV1 clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS experience with cloud infrastructure and platforms.
• Solid Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK and CloudFormation.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).
• Knowledge of AWS networking, IAM, security and secrets management.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging and observability solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting across cloud infrastructure, deployments and applications.
• Experience with AI, ML or data science platforms is advantageous.
• Exposure to MLOps, LLMOps, Bedrock, generative AI or RAG is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure across development and production environments.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines with security scans and deployment.
• Deploy and support containerised apps with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS.
• Assist AWS networking, IAM, compute, storage and secrets management.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, observability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in apps, deployments and infra.
• Support platform security, resilience, cost optimisation.
• Collaborate with software/AI/data teams on deployment patterns.
• Contribute to technical docs and runbooks.
