Job summary

Verra Mobility, a global leader in smart mobility, is hiring a DevOps Engineer to join the SaaS Operations Support team in South Melbourne. This hands-on role offers production ownership, operating AWS-hosted SaaS platforms, and improving automation and deployment while supporting Kubernetes environments.

You will work with engineering, product and support teams in an agile setting, contributing to platform reliability, security and scalability.

Qualifications

3+ years in DevOps, Cloud Eng, SRE or similar roles.
Strong hands-on AWS in production.
Kubernetes experience, ideally EKS in production.
IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
Scripting with Shell, Python or PowerShell.
Linux administration experience.
Understanding of networking, cloud security, IAM and infra basics.
Experience supporting highly available SaaS platforms.
Strong incident response and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

Build, operate and improve AWS infrastructure across services (EKS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, IAM, S3, Route 53).
Manage Kubernetes workloads and EKS platform lifecycle (upgrades, deployments, troubleshooting).
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bamboo).
Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Monitor platform performance with New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana.
Lead production incident response and RCA to prevent recurrence.
Contribute to platform reliability, automation, security and scalability enhancements.
Collaborate with engineering, product and support in an agile delivery environment.
Participate in DevOps on-call for out-of-hours production incidents.
