Job summary

Bridge IT Engineering is seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to support a Federal Government department in Canberra. The role focuses on Microsoft Azure application migrations and shaping the Foundry-based data and analytics platform, with an eye on AI capabilities.

You will join the Enterprise Architecture team to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions and guide the transition into business-as-usual operations, reporting to senior stakeholders and conforming to Commonwealth

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex cloud or digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong Microsoft Azure architecture and enterprise cloud design experience.
• Active NV1 Security Clearance is required.
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders and gain endorsement through governance.

Bridge IT Engineering is seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to support a Federal Government department in Canberra. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant cloud transformation initiatives, including Microsoft Azure application migrations and the implementation of emerging AI and analytics capabilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will join the Enterprise Architecture team, providing senior cloud architecture expertise across a portfolio of technology initiatives. Initially, the role will focus on completing application migrations to Microsoft Azure, resolving technical dependencies and supporting the transition into business-as-usual operations. Following this, the role will transition into leading the design and implementation of a Microsoft Foundry solution, supporting enterprise data integration, analytics and AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable cloud solutions within Microsoft Azure.


• Support application migrations and transition into operational environments.


• Develop solution architectures, technical documentation and implementation guidance.


• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and deliver practical solutions.


• Provide architectural leadership and technical oversight throughout implementation.


• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security and Commonwealth governance requirements.


• Identify and manage architectural risks, technical dependencies and delivery challenges.


• Demonstrated experience delivering significant cloud or digital transformation initiatives as a Solution Architect.


• Strong Microsoft Azure architecture and enterprise cloud solution design experience.


• Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and secure endorsement through formal architecture governance processes.


• Experience leading complex technology implementations and providing technical direction to delivery teams.


• Previous experience delivering architecture outcomes within Australian Federal Government or Commonwealth environments.


• Sound understanding of Commonwealth security, assurance and governance requirements.


• Active NV1 Security Clearance.


• Experience leading significant cloud transformation projects.


• Experience designing Azure-based enterprise data, integration and analytics platforms.


• Exposure to Microsoft Foundry, artificial intelligence or machine learning solutions.
