Job summary

IT Alliance seeks a Senior Cloud Architect / Cloud Engineer (EL1) for a long-term contract in Canberra. The role requires hands-on Azure expertise across architecture, services, security and governance, with agile delivery and strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years hands-on Azure Cloud experience implementing and managing enterprise cloud solutions.
• Azure architecture & solution design for enterprise-level platforms.
• Experience with Azure App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, SQL, Service Bus, API Management.
• Proficient in Azure DevOps, IaC and CI/CD pipelines/deployments.
• Identity & Security with Entra ID, Key Vault, and RBAC.
• Azure Networking with Virtual Networks and Private Endpoints.
• Monitoring with Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Integration with Dynamics 365 CRM.
• Experience with M365 cloud architecture.
• Security governance aligned with government standards.
• Ability to lead technical direction and mentor engineers.
• Agile delivery in multidisciplinary teams; strong stakeholder engagement.

One of our Federal Government Clients is seeking to engage a Senior Cloud Architect / Cloud Engineer - EL1 Level. This is a long-term contractual position.

Work Location: Canberra (03 Days office/02 Days home per week)

• Architecture documentation – ability to produce solution architectures and detailed technical/architecture guidance for engineering teams.
• Technical leadership – provide architectural direction, impact analysis, technical guidance and mentor engineers/team members.
• Agile delivery experience – working in multidisciplinary teams with architects, developers, BAs, testers, Scrum Masters and business stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder engagement – able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams and adapt quickly when requirements/scope change.
• Understanding of DTA Digital Service Standard and user-centred government digital delivery.
