Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Senior Field Planner for the Eva Copper Mine Project in Queensland. This site-based role supports the delivery of the Process Plant and Non-Process Infrastructure with a 2:1 FIFO roster to Cloncurry.

You will integrate multidisciplinary schedules, monitor progress and advise on recovery strategies to keep construction moving on a major greenfield copper project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10–13 years of relevant experience, or 14–17 years without a degree.
• Experience across civil, SMP and E&I construction scopes.
• Experience developing Level 1, Level 3 and Level 5 schedules.
• Strong Primavera P6 and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and maintain multidisciplinary construction schedules using Primavera P6.
• Coordinate planning inputs across engineering, procurement, construction, subcontractors and the owner's team.
• Analyse critical and near-critical paths, identify delays and recommend recovery strategies.
• Develop and maintain three-week lookahead schedules.
• Establish quantity tracking, commodity installation curves and progress measurement systems.
• Monitor productivity and schedule performance using earned value principles.
• Prepare monthly schedule commentary, progress reports and schedule impact assessments.
• Work with project stakeholders to resolve interfaces and support achievable delivery plans.

Help shape construction delivery on a major greenfield copper project in Queensland.

We're seeking an experienced Senior Field Planner to support Bechtel's delivery of the Eva Copper Process Plant and Non-Process Infrastructure for Harmony. This site-based opportunity suits a planning professional with strong construction scheduling experience across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation disciplines.

Working on a 2:1 FIFO roster to Cloncurry, you'll bring together project schedules, field progress and contractor inputs to identify risks, resolve constraints and keep construction activities moving.

The role

You'll bring:

• Demonstrated planning and scheduling experience across civil, SMP and E&I construction scopes.
• Experience developing and integrating Level 1, Level 3 and Level 5 schedules.
• Strong Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office skills.
• A thorough understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and commissioning/start-up activities.
• Experience establishing and maintaining earned value and progress measurement systems.
• Strong communication skills, including presenting schedule performance, risks and recommendations to management and clients.
