Job summary

The University of Sydney, Northern Clinical School, is seeking a Project Manager to deliver complex, high-impact clinical trials. You will provide end-to-end project management across multiple workstreams to ensure planning, implementation and delivery align with strategic objectives.

You will establish governance, manage resources, monitor risks and drive milestones in a dynamic clinical research environment, collaborating with diverse internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Data Science, Science or a relevant field.
• Demonstrated high-level project management expertise across scope, time, cost and quality.
• Proven leadership with team management and strategic decision-making.
• Strong problem-solving to identify risks and implement practical solutions.
• Excellent communication to influence and build diverse stakeholder relationships.
• Experience managing complex projects and multiple workstreams with financial oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development and delivery of high-quality clinical trials, including planning, documentation and ethics submissions.
• Manage trial budgets, monitor expenditure and address risks with investigators.
• Ensure trials comply with protocols, ICH-GCP and governance requirements, including safety monitoring.
• Oversee participant recruitment strategies and study visit processes.
• Manage trial data integrity, QA processes and liaise with external stakeholders.
• Oversee governance and use of linked health datasets for high-quality research outcomes.
• Provide leadership and people management to the trial team and recruitment of staff.
