About the role

The Clinical Safety Officer (CSO) has a critical role in ensuring the clinical usability and safe delivery of Telstra Health products and services. The CSO will contribute to delivering our strategic activities within the Clinical Excellence team.

Conduct thorough clinical safety activities to identify potential clinical risk and develop mitigation strategies across the digital health lifecycle, including assessments of tenders from potential customers. Identify and communicate trends and gaps in quality and safety data to key stakeholders. Provide SME input to address day-to-day issues relating to clinical safety and risk management.
  • Monitoring/evaluating clinical issues and performance: Establish a robust reporting system to identify potential clinical issues associated with Telstra Health solutions, monitor clinical performance, and provide regular safety and effectiveness reports. Responsible for clinical triage of Jira tickets, investigation of incidents, and contributing to Post Incident Reviews.
  • Providing clinical training and education: Provide training to clinical and non-clinical employees on clinical safety in digital health solutions. Facilitate and support education of stakeholders in clinical safety, quality improvement, assurance and risk management as required.
  • Ensuring compliance: Ensure Telstra Health digital health solutions comply with relevant regulatory requirements and standards within the relevant jurisdiction, domestic and/or international. Contribute to reporting to the Telstra Health Clinical Governance Committee.
