Job summary

Raven's Recruitment is assisting a regional health service in Victoria to appoint a Senior Hospital Pharmacist (Grade 3). Based two hours from Melbourne, this role offers genuine leadership, service development and medication safety responsibilities across medical, surgical and maternity wards.

You will participate in ward rounds, manage medication reconciliation, provide expert advice to multidisciplinary teams, mentor interns and pharmacists, and drive governance and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• General AHPRA registration as Pharmacist.

Job Specification

Take a senior clinical role delivering advanced pharmacy services across medical, surgical and maternity wards. You will have the opportunity to influence clinical practice, contribute to service development and lead medication safety and quality initiatives.

Your responsibilities include:

• Participating in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Conducting medication reconciliation, clinical reviews, counselling and discharge planning.
• Providing expert medication management advice across multidisciplinary teams.
• Leading medication safety, governance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentoring pharmacists, interns and pharmacy students.
• Contributing to education, policy development and pharmacy service innovation.

The department uses iPharmacy and is supported by two full-time pharmacists. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.

Skills Required

• General AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist.
• Strong clinical knowledge across acute care settings.
• Medication safety, governance or quality improvement experience.
• Ability to lead, mentor and influence multidisciplinary teams.

Salary & Benefits

$55-$62 per hour plus superannuation, reflective of experience.
