Job summary

Macquarie Hospital in Sydney is seeking an exceptional Chief Pharmacist (Pharmacist Grade 5) to join the clinical leadership team. This permanent part-time role (23 hours per week) offers an opportunity to lead pharmacy services and advance patient care.

You will oversee medication safety and formulary management, drive governance and service development, and work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective care for our patients, families and community.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (or eligible for immediate registration).
• Extensive hospital pharmacy practice experience in a major teaching hospital.
• Demonstrated leadership in promoting safety, quality improvement and best practice.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

• Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (or eligible for immediate registration).
• Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice in a major teaching hospital.
