Job summary

Grampians Health is seeking a Clinical Support Nurse - Deteriorating Patient for our Stawell campus to lead education and escalation of care practices. This role focuses on coordinating staff training and ensuring timely responses to clinical deterioration.

You will deliver and evaluate life support training (basic, advanced, paediatric), participate in regional education initiatives, and support multidisciplinary teams within the Grampians region to enhance patient safety and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife.
• Have at least 5 years of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate education of staff in recognizing and responding to the deteriorating patient, incorporating evidence-based escalation of care principles to promote safe, effective, multidisciplinary resuscitation practice.
• Deliver, facilitate, evaluate and report on basic, advanced and paediatric life support training and assessment.
• Participate in relevant working groups and committees as allocated.
• Provide educational support to other Grampians region health partners in clinical deterioration, including support of the Highway education model and SimVan Mobile simulation.
