Job summary

Western District Health Service in Hamilton, VIC, is seeking expressions of interest for a part-time Clinical Support Nurse (Aged Care) within the Education Centre. The role focuses on supervising and mentoring Graduate Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to build confidence and clinical capability.

You will deliver bedside coaching, lead education sessions, promote evidence-based practice and support a positive learning culture within our aged care services.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration and current practising status.
• Experience in aged care is preferred.
• Interest in mentoring graduates and Enrolled Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical support, guidance and mentorship to Graduate Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses.
• Support transition to practice and development of clinical confidence and competence.
• Deliver bedside coaching, role modelling and clinical leadership.
• Facilitate education sessions, in-services and professional development activities.
• Support staff to achieve and maintain clinical competencies.
• Promote evidence-based practice and resident-centred care.
• Assist graduates to develop clinical assessment, reasoning, documentation and escalation skills.
• Work collaboratively with clinical leaders, educators and multidisciplinary teams to foster a positive learning culture and support continuous improvement initiatives.
