Job summary

Grampians Health in Ballarat is seeking a Clinical Support Nurse for the Perioperative Stream on a part-time basis (8 hours per week). The role supports the Perioperative Clinical Nurse Educator and leads targeted perioperative educational programs, bridging theory and practice within the Best Practice Clinical Learning Environment framework.

Qualifications

• Must hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 3 years registered nurse experience.
• Have current perioperative clinical nursing experience.
• Hold a postgraduate qualification in perioperative specialty or be willing to work towards it.
• Hold or be willing to work towards a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or education qualification.
• Demonstrated experience supporting learners and staff in perioperative care.
• Training or modules in clinical supervision and learner support are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess students' clinical progress and preparedness for advanced practice.
• Assist the Clinical Nurse Educator to align activities with NSQHS and BPCLE frameworks.
• Present as a professional role model and clinical leader.
• Support learners to gain theory and clinical experience across care settings with timely feedback.
