Job summary

St Vincent's Health Australia seeks an After Hours Clinical Nurse Educator for the Emergency Department at St Vincent’s Public Hospital, Sydney. This max-term full-time role rosters weekends and weekdays, focusing on education, development and accreditation activities to support safe, high-quality patient care.

You will lead ED education initiatives, collaborate with clinical leaders and promote evidence-based practice while fostering a culture of learning and improvement.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with Division 1 and AHPRA registration.
  • Post-graduate qualification in education or equivalent.
  • Certificate IV in workplace training and education or willingness to undertake within 12 months.
  • Experience in emergency department education or 4+ years post-registration with 3+ years in ED.
  • Knowledge of innovative educational strategies including e-learning.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance knowledge, clinical skills and competence of ED nursing staff.
  • Assess, develop, implement and evaluate education programs and accreditation activities.
  • Ensure equitable access to education and learning resources for all ED staff.
  • Promote evidence-based practice and a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders and interdisciplinary teams.
