Job summary

Carinity Shalom in Rockhampton is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant to lead clinical care in Residential Aged Care. You will supervise RNs and carers, develop guidelines, and drive quality improvements while focusing on residents’ physical, social and spiritual wellbeing.

Applicants must hold RN registration (AHPRA) with aged care experience, knowledge of AN-ACC and palliative care, and current NDIS screening.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA is required.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in AN-ACC and palliative care.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making for quality, customer-focused services.
• Understanding of Aged Care Accreditation and Audit processes.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical advice to healthcare professionals.
• Develop and implement clinical guidelines and policies.
• Conduct clinical research and quality improvement projects.

About the opportunity:
We are looking for anenthusiastic and compassionate Clinical Nurse Consultant to becomepart of our dedicated team.

The Clinical Nurse Consultant is a key leader within theResidential Aged Care team, responsible for the supervision andprovision of clinical care, meeting the clinical and personal needsof residents, as well as providing direction and supervision toRegistered, Enrolled Nurses, and Assistants in Nursing. Theapproach to care is holistic, considering the physical, social, andspiritual needs of each resident.

This role requires availability Monday to Friday between 8:00 AMand 4:00 PM with on-call work as required.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Providing expert clinical advice to healthcareprofessionals
• Developing and implementing clinical guidelines andpolicies
• Conducting clinical research and quality improvementprojects
• Educating and training healthcare staff on bestpractices
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhancepatient care

About you:

• Demonstrated ability in problem resolution and decisionmaking that maintains quality customer focused servicesdelivery

• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
