UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the Carina Aged Care Facility. You will provide expert clinical leadership, guide care staff and ensure safe, resident-centred care across complex needs.

The role emphasises care planning, documentation, staff development and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with standards.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA.
• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of three years' experience as a Registered Nurse.
• ACFI knowledge and experience with aged care funding.
• Person-centred, resident-based care delivery with teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical leadership and advice in the management of complex resident care needs.
• Develop, implement, monitor and review resident care plans to promote health and quality of life.
• Complete comprehensive and accurate clinical assessments and documentation.

• Remuneration: $59.43 – $60.70 per hour + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

The Clinical Nurse provides expert clinical leadership, guidance and support to care staff to ensure safe, high‑quality, resident‑centred care. The role plays a key part in complex clinical decision‑making, care planning, funding optimisation and continuous quality improvement, while ensuring care aligns with organisational values, best practice and accreditation standards.

In This Role, You Will

• Provide expert clinical leadership and advice in the management of complex resident care needs
• Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of resident care plans to promote health, wellbeing and quality of life
• Complete comprehensive and accurate clinical assessments and documentation
• Support staff orientation, mentoring, clinical supervision and ongoing professional development
• Promote a consultative and collaborative approach to resident care planning and quality activities
• Assist in ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, legislation and clinical governance requirements
• Support accurate and timely ACFI assessments to ensure optimal funding outcomes
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, residents, families and external stakeholders
• Participate in continuous quality improvement, risk management and workplace health and safety activities

• Extensive general nursing experience with strong clinical skills

• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment
• Intermediate computer skills and accurate clinical documentation capability
• Ability to meet relevant probity checks and compliance requirements
