Talent Quarter are proudly partnered with a leading, NFP Aged Care provider who have an opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse to step up into a Clinical Nurse leadership position in Port Douglas.

You will provide leadership, mentorship, and clinical guidance to nursing and care staff, uplifting capability and ensuring best practice outcomes for residents. AHPRA registration and a passion for aged care are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in aged care with leadership capabilities.
• Ability to mentor and support teams.
• Proficient in clinical documentation and AN-ACC processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing and care staff.
• Drive clinical excellence and person-centred care.
• Complete AN-ACC documentation and assessments.
• Lead clinical areas including wounds, continence, and medications.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve resident outcomes.
• Delegate tasks and provide clinical oversight.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse to join a well-established aged care facility in beautiful Port Douglas. Working closely with the Clinical Care Manager, you will play a key role in driving clinical excellence and supporting a high standard of person‑centred care.

You will provide leadership, mentorship, and clinical guidance to nursing and care staff, helping to uplift capability and ensure best practice outcomes for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality, person‑centred care
• Assist in setting and maintaining clinical standards aligned with best practice
• Mentor and guide Registered Nurses and care staff
• Complete AN-ACC documentation and comprehensive assessments
• Lead and support clinical areas including:
  • Continence management
  • Wound care
  • Medication management
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal resident outcomes
• Delegate tasks and provide clinical oversight to the care team

To be successful you will have

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• Strong clinical knowledge and advanced nursing skills
• Passion for aged care and improving resident outcomes
• Confident leader with the ability to mentor and support teams
• Positive, proactive and team-focused approach
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Comfortable using clinical systems and technology

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current CPR Certificate
• Up-to-date Influenza vaccination and COVID-19 vaccination
• Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and nights
