Job summary

Omega Medical is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join the Community Care team in Canberra on a permanent full-time basis. You will deliver high-quality home care to elderly clients, work with the community nurse consultant, and support gerontology, palliative care, dementia, and mental health initiatives.

Key duties include clinical assessments, coordinating appointments, responding to medical and emergency needs, and discharge planning from hospital to home.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration
• Current driver's licence
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with elderly clients (community work is desirable)
• High knowledge of health, well-being and care support for older people

My client is a renowned aged care service provider and are one of Canberra’s most trusted organisations since the mid 1950’s. We are looking for a new face to join the community team and can work across the ACT area to support the elderly when required.

The role:

Work as a Clinical Nurse to support the community team in providing quality home care to elderly clients. You will work closely with the community nurse consultant and also support the community care management team in specialty areas of gerontology, palliative care, dementia support and mental health.
