Job summary

Darling Downs Health is seeking a Clinical Midwife - Caseload in the Darling Downs region to deliver continuity of care from pregnancy through early parenting, offering autonomy, professional growth and meaningful community impact.

You will provide holistic, evidence-based midwifery care, build trusted partnerships with women and families, manage a caseload, and contribute to a culture of learning, collaboration and compassionate leadership.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
• Demonstrated ability to deliver safe, contemporary, woman-centred midwifery care.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills for collaboration.

What your day could look like

As a Clinical Midwife - Caseload, you'll support women and families through one of life's most important journeys. Working within a continuity of care model, you'll build trusted relationships, provide expert guidance and deliver personalised care that supports positive experiences and outcomes from pregnancy through to early parenting.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

• Providing holistic, evidence-based midwifery care that supports the wellbeing of women, babies and families.
• Building strong partnerships with women, families and healthcare professionals to deliver seamless, person-centred care.
• Using your clinical expertise and judgement to navigate complex situations and achieve safe, quality outcomes.
• Driving a culture of learning, innovation and continuous improvement through collaboration, mentoring and professional leadership.

You're an experienced and compassionate midwife who values connection, trust and continuity of care. You bring confidence to clinical decision-making, communicate with empathy and respect, and are committed to delivering care that is tailored to each woman's individual needs. You'll enjoy working autonomously while remaining connected to a supportive team, knowing your work helps create positive and lasting experiences for women and families.

• Registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver safe, contemporary and woman-centred midwifery care.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills that support collaboration and high-quality care.
• The ability to manage a caseload, prioritise effectively and adapt to changing clinical needs.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have recent experience in continuity of care or caseload midwifery and/or postgraduate qualifications relevant to maternity care.
