Job summary

Carrington Centennial Care is seeking a Clinical Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team at Werombi Court, NSW. You will provide clinical oversight, ensure accurate documentation, and drive quality care aligned with Aged Care standards.

You will oversee care planning, audits, and staff development while working closely with the CSM and leadership team to optimise outcomes and service delivery in a supportive not-for-profit environment.

Qualifications

• Current unconditional Registered Nurse APHRA registration with minimum 3 years post-graduate experience.
• Demonstrated person-centred approach to delivering high quality care and customer service.
• Demonstrated leadership, effective communication and coaching skills.
• Sound knowledge of ACFI and the accreditation process.
• Working knowledge of case management.
• Demonstrated care management skills (assessment, planning, monitoring).
• Efficient IT and systems skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight of the facility, including auditing, development & management of clinical documentation, and reporting on indicators.
• Lead care team growth and development and provide guidance on clinical issues.
• Support the learning and development of staff through coaching, training and on-the-job learning.
• Assist the Care Services Manager in recruitment, performance appraisals and rostering.
• Ensure compliance with Aged Care standards and Carrington policies across the team.
• Act as Infection Prevention and Control lead (IPC) and liaise with health professionals as required.
• Build strong relationships with residents and families to communicate needs and preferences effectively.

The Opportunity

As the Clinical Manager, you will lead a team of clinical and care staff to provide quality care and service excellence to consumers and their family members. This role is intrinsic to the success of the clinical team and will ensure that this team works collaboratively to maximise ACFI funding, ensure up-to-date and accurate assessments, care plans and documentation and provide best practice clinical care in a positive team environment.

This full-time opportunity in Werombi Court works 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Providing clinical oversight of the facility, including auditing, development & management of clinical documentation, and reporting on clinical, quality & care indicators.
• Providing guidance & support for clinical issues and complex care, and actively participating in clinical & care meetings ensuring regular review.
• Supporting the learning & development of staff through coaching & support, conducting clinical in-services and on-the job training, and monitoring completion & compliance.
• Assisting the Care Services Manager (CSM) in the management of all care staff, including recruitment, performance appraisals, assessing staffing levels and rostering training cover.
• Working closely with the (CSM) and leadership team to ensure consistent compliance with all Aged Care standards and Carrington policies and procedures
• Infection Prevention and Management control lead (IPC)
• Liaises with medical practitioners, hospitals, pharmacists and other health professionals in relation to complex clinical issues or services
• Building supportive relationships with residents and their families to ensure care needs, preference and choices are effectively communicated.

About You
