Job summary

Aus Care Community Services is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist / Allied Health Clinical Lead to combine a clinical caseload with leadership duties. You will perform FCAs, produce defensible reports, and inform NDIS plan reassessments, changes in support needs and review requests.

You will assess ADLs, IADLs, mobility, cognition and community participation, and develop recommendations for AT, equipment, environmental modifications and SIL/SDA/ILO where relevant.

Qualifications

• A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and current AHPRA registration.
• Substantial post-registration experience with NDIS participants.
• Expertise in FCAs, clinical reasoning and NDIS report writing.
• Understanding of NDIS funding criteria and evidence requirements.
• Experience supervising clinicians and reviewing reports.
• Strong person-centred practice, safeguarding and boundaries.
• Ability to communicate clearly with participants and stakeholders.
• Excellent organisation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs) using standardised assessments, observations and input from participants and carers.
• Produce clear, defensible reports linking functional limitations, goals, support needs and recommendations.
• Prepare evidence to inform NDIS plan reassessments and review requests.
• Assess ADLs, IADLs, mobility, cognition, executive functioning, sensory needs and community participation.
• Develop recommendations for capacity-building interventions, AT, equipment and environmental modifications.
• Prepare functional evidence to inform Home and Living options (SIL, SDA, ILO) where relevant.
• Deliver goal-directed interventions to support independence, safety and participation.
• Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, case consultation and report QA.
• Establish and maintain consistent assessment, documentation and clinical governance standards.
• Collaborate with participants, families, support coordinators, behaviour support practitioners and other health professionals.
