Job summary
Mildura Base Public Hospital is seeking a Clinical Support Nurse to support nursing education and workforce development within the Clinical Learning and Development team. The role spans across clinical services with overlap to other CSNs.
The successful candidate will orient, educate and assess undergraduate and new staff, coaching Educators and providing targeted clinical support during escalation and peak periods. AHPRA RN registration and training qualifications are required.
Qualifications
- Hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Postgraduate qualification in the relevant specialty.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or willingness to complete within 12 months).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the relevant area of specialty.
Responsibilities
- Assist with orientation of undergraduate, graduate and new staff.
- Deliver targeted clinical support and education to nursing staff.
- Assess development needs and prioritise resources for workforce capability.
- Conduct assessments of undergraduate students as required.
- Provide coaching and feedback to Educators and support in escalation periods.
