Mildura Rural City Council is seeking a motivated Student Maternal & Child Health Nurse to support families with children aged 0–6 years through health promotion, development monitoring, breastfeeding support and immunisation programs.

This temporary part-time role offers study support, a scholarship, and opportunities for professional development within a multidisciplinary team, while requiring enrolment in a postgraduate MCH nursing course and AHPRA registration.

Formación

• Current enrolment in a postgraduate Maternal & Child Health Nursing course.
• Passion for child development and family wellbeing.
• Understanding of Child Safe Standards and relevant legislation.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor child development and support families with children aged 0–6 years.
• Promote health, breastfeeding and immunisation programs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to connect families with services.
• Maintain accurate documentation and engage in health promotion activities.
• Respect diverse backgrounds including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
